PartDonor is the parts-bench system for restorers who chase vintage machines, classic electronics, old tools, and rare objects — the log, the calipers, and the compatibility ledger, all in one place.
Six ways PartDonor turns a shelf of loose parts into a working restoration record.
Record every donor item you break down — source, date, and what it gave up — so nothing disappears between boxes and shelves.
A living record of which parts are ready, which need work, and which still require checking before final assembly.
Log real-world dimensions and compare candidates side by side to spot alternatives when the original is gone.
Capture the small details — tolerances, mounting quirks, adapter tricks — right where you'll need them next time.
Attach photos to every part and donor so labels, angles, and wear are never lost to memory.
Connect each part back to its source, condition, and fit history for a clean, practical project record.
Slide the calipers to set the original part's measurement and a donor candidate's measurement. Watch the bench call it live — this is the same tolerance logic behind PartDonor's compatibility checks.
Measurements align within a safe tolerance — this donor part is a solid candidate for the swap.
🔩 We're a small team of restorers and tinkerers who got tired of losing track of which drawer held which capacitor, which shelf had the right-sized bearing, and which handwritten label matched which box. PartDonor started as our own parts-bench notebook, rebuilt properly.
🧭 Our mission is simple: give every restorer a clear, honest system for tracking donor items and removed parts, so good material never gets wasted and no fit note gets forgotten between projects.
📐 PartDonor gives you a living compatibility record — what's ready, what needs work, what still needs checking — plus real measurements you can compare directly, so you can judge an alternative part with confidence instead of guesswork.
"Nothing gets lost between the bench and the box."
PartDonor was built to run entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, and no part of this app phones home. Everything below explains exactly how that works.
PartDonor collects nothing. We don't ask for your name, email, location, or any account details, and the app has no sign-up or login of any kind.
Since no information is ever collected, none is used, analyzed, profiled, or sold. There is no usage data leaving your device for us to act on.
Every donor record, part entry, measurement, photo, and fit note you create is stored locally on your device only. PartDonor has no cloud backend and does not sync your parts bench anywhere.
PartDonor does not integrate analytics kits, advertising networks, or third-party trackers. No outside service ever receives information about how you use the app.
Because your project records never leave your device, there is no PartDonor server or database to be exposed. Your data's safety depends on your device's own security settings, which we recommend keeping up to date.
PartDonor does not knowingly or unknowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is comfortably compliant with COPPA because there is nothing to collect in the first place.
There are no accounts to manage and no remote data to request deletion of. Uninstalling PartDonor removes your local records completely, since nothing is stored anywhere else.
If this policy is ever updated, the new version will be published within the app with a revised Effective Date above. Continued use of PartDonor after an update means you accept the revised terms.
